Speech Partners, Inc. provides Auditory Verbal Therapy, Aural Rehabilitation and Speech Therapy to individuals with hearing loss, language delays and disorders, auditory processing disorders and pragmatic language issues. Nancy V. Schumann is passionate about communication and committed to helping children and adults to become successful communicators. Her comprehensive family-centered approach to auditory, speech and language services for children with hearing loss, language delays and auditory processing issues is systematic and effective.

Nancy V. Schumann M.A. CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT created Speech Partners, Inc. in 2001 to meet the growing needs of New Jersey families dealing with the issues of hearing loss. From individual Auditory Verbal and Speech Language Therapy to advocacy support and educational planning to social programs, Nancy has grown Speech Partners to support her clients, their families and the schools they attend.

Nancy brings her enthusiasm for communication to every interaction. She has a vast collection of toys, games, books and therapy materials that help make the therapy "work" fun and interesting. It becomes easy for babies and kids of all ages to get involved in the activities that will help them make progress. She employs a wide variety of strategies to keep clients engaged in the process of learning. They acquire skills at the  "learning to listen" stage and then develop the necessary "listening to learn" skills that support success in school, family and social settings. While working and playing during sessions, clients and their families see the benefit of making auditory, speech and language learning fun and functional. Her advocacy work with families helps them negotiate the transitions to school placement and develop school based programs that support success in mainstream settings.

Nancy provides independent speech and language evaluations, communication assessments and educational recommendations including goals and objectives for students receiving special services. She also provides professional development, in-service training, consultation to schools and mentors Speech Pathologists and Teachers of the Deaf.
